Matstasjonen at Sjusjøen

Matstasjonen is a new project I'm working on. The goal is to preserve the history of the place while creating something that can be used by today's families, skiers, hikers, and cabin dwellers.

Matstasjonen will open in December and will remain open throughout the winter season. There are also plans for the summer, but I will come back to that later.

I grew up with the Suppenwagen in Switzerland – a simple soup cart that stood right next to the ski slopes at my local ski club. After training, we would always stop there to have something warm to eat, chat a bit and rest. It was simple, but it created great memories that I still carry with me.

With Matstasjonen, I want to build on that same feeling: a place where you can take a break, warm up and enjoy yourself together – whether you come on skis, on foot or with your family. I would like to find out how it will end up together with those of you who use the place.

That's why I want your input! On this page you can send me ideas and wishes for what you would like to find at Matstasjonen. I will use these to shape the offer so that it best suits the local community.
